Digital Technologies
The Digital Technologies Curriculum focuses on computational thinking and problem solving. These are key skills, which research suggests will be imperative in the future jobs market. Whilst the new syllabus provides an excellent opportunity for students, this will not be realised unless it is delivered by teaching staff competent and confident with the concepts it contains.
With the early release of the Digital Technologies syllabus in late 2015, ahead of full implementation in 2017, comes an outline of learning expectations for students which will prepare them for the careers of the future. The syllabus promotes critical and creative thinking, which is also a general capability of the Australian Curriculum.
